Situations

Joel's cousin, Katie, has blogged about a situation that weighs heavy on our hearts. You can read her blog here.
I have some very strong thoughts regarding this whole thing, and I will blog about it later when I can do so with the right attitude. I think Katie stated things in a very eloquent manner.

Thanks again for your love and support. It means the world to us to have our family. Thank you also for the kind words on your blog. I pray that my heart came through on my blog - man gets too wrapped up in worrying about the petty things of this life and forget's that there is a lost and dying world out there that doesn't have the truth - the truth of the gospel. When life is over will it really matter that dad was accused of these things? Will it really matter that the board said these things? Will it really matter that people are confused and wondering what really happened? NO!!! What matters is what is not even being said in this whole situation - are we showing Christ through all this? Sadly, I don't think one person will come to Christ because of this. Shame on all the people that as so busy gossiping about this and have forgetten about the friends, co-workers, neighbors and loved ones that surround us each day and are lost and going to hell. We need a reality check!!!!

I wouldn't say I'm reluctent or unwilling, but reasons like this are why I'm "scared" to get involved in a local church. Its not that I dont want to, because I've even commited to start going(which is more than I have done in a long time)back to church. I for one hate being judged by man! The last time it happened was why I stopped going. Stuff like this happens all the time! What ever happened to support and consul rather that chastize and shun.

man is going to let you down - because they are men and not GOD! it is true that was has happened is sad and may even be termed a scandal...and this is not an isolated incident. that is the beauty of the Lord. he is consistent. he tells you exactly how you should live and handle situations. man, however, tries to set his own standards and that is where we fall. do what God wants and the trials will make you stronger:) i mean, look at all the positives in the ministry. dawn and joel for instance. they are both serving the Lord, raising a family, and God is blessing them. you must take the good with the bad. if someone had a bad experience at your restaurant, does that mean all of cici's restaurants are like that? (i know that was a poor example, but its the only thing that came to mind!)you cant expect all churches to be the same, and the search for a good one is hard. im praying for you and i love you bro!
