This week is Bible Adventure Time at our church. Each year we have a missionary come and spend the week with us. We're priviledged to have Joel and Jodi Sandahl with us this week. Joel and Jodi are missionaries to Germany. Joel and I (and 5 others) took a trip to see them in 2006.
Camden remarked last night that he discovered something this week. He said that he knows how to speak "Germany." He said that, "now the missionaries don't have to speak Michigan to me because I can understand Germany too."
I'm not quite sure what "speaking Michigan" sounds like, but the conversation made me smile nonetheless!

I've blogged before about how much I love to go to the grocery store. I know that I'm weird, and that's all right. One of the reasons I love to go alone is because I save more money when I take my time, compare prices and use coupons.
I NEVER buy an item just because I have a coupon!! NEVER. However, combining coupons with store sales (AND my menu, which is typically based on sale items) saves a lot of money. My $40 a week food budget goes further if I'm a careful shopper.
To all my mommy friends out there: follow this link to register for a $5.00 coupon off of ANY LUVS purchase. I did this a few weeks ago and mine came today with 2 coupons, one for $5.00 and one for $1.00. Can't beat that. If you have some of the Target coupons for LUVS (they were peel-off coupons that were attached to packages months ago) for $1.50...you could score some really cheap, almost FREE diapers. Even without the Target coupons this is a GREAT deal!
